What You’ll Learn:
This class is all about understanding how garments are really put together—just translated into a beginner-friendly project:
- Sewing clean, professional seams
- Serged seams for durability and structure
- Attaching straps
- Building and attaching a lining
- Creating and installing an interior pocket
These are foundational techniques used in garment construction—once you understand them here, you can start applying them to clothing, alterations, and your own designs.
What You’ll Make:
We’ll be creating a lined tote bag with an interior pocket.
It may sound simple, but every step is intentional. This project is packed with techniques that will completely change how you approach sewing. You’ll leave with a beautiful, functional piece—and a much deeper understanding of the sewing process.
